My Approach to Event Photography
When photographing an event, I'm looking for the fun, the smiles, the engagement. Years of event photography experience and reading the room's energy put me exactly where I need to be, when it matters — covering individuals, presenters and speakers at conferences, breakout sessions, groups both big and small, and very, very large groups too. Being around people comes naturally, and I'm good at making them comfortable in front of the camera, getting normal, natural reactions. Strong narrative-style documentary images with an artistic and creative touch.
Event Photography
Conferences and Events
Photographing events from small corporate meetings and away days, to conferences and large-scale events with hundreds of people. I've organised and photographed large group shots at several prestigious venues, houses and hotels across the South East and London, tell me what you need and we can take it from there.
If you need group shots or headshots at your event, we can provide that service as well. Group shots range from a dozen people to several hundred, depending on the venue and the space available, and can be formal or fun. Headshots can be taken at a small dedicated studio area or against a background of your choosing, all sorted in the one booking.
School Proms
Covering the prom from the arrivals, individual and group photos through the presentations and into the evening party, adding plenty of colour and light while photographing the fun. I've photographed several proms, including a number at Berkhamsted School.
Once the images are edited, they go into a private, password-protected gallery for you to share with everyone who was there. View the Event Gallery
Graduation Photography
MBA and University Graduations
With over fifteen years of experience photographing graduation ceremonies at Ashridge House, Hult Ashridge Business School, including MBA, Masters and Doctorates, plus graduations for the Premier League graduates.
Portraits and Group Shots
I've documented numerous events, from small gatherings to large groups of over 100 people, capturing everything from gowning up and individual portraits, through the ceremony, to candid moments of celebration.

Rates
Events — Business and social event photography, including set-up time. All photos are lightly edited — colour balanced and cropped — so you get clean images ready to use. The 2-hour rate is available within 20 minutes of Berkhamsted; further out, the 4-hour rate is the minimum booking. Need something quicker? I can select up to 50 images for social media that same day. If headshots are needed at the event, that's charged at £5 per person, to cover the extra kit and editing time.
Graduations — Coverage of the ceremony, plus individual portraits in cap and gown. Photos of each graduate receiving their scroll are charged separately at £5 a head, since they take longer to find and edit than general event shots. Headshots at the event are £5 per person too. If your event doesn't fit neatly into these categories, contact me for a personalised quote.
Delivery — Your edited files will be delivered 2 to 5 days after your event. You have the option of social media selects, up to 50 images, by midday the following day, for £175. If you need a rush edit, contact me to see if it's possible, and this will be charged at 50% extra.

Travel
